About Me
My name is Brooke Power. I am a self-taught photographer and mom of one beautiful baby girl. Based in Halifax, NS, I have my Child and Youth Degree from Mount Saint Vincent University and spent a number of years in Childcare as well as Pre-Primary. I have always been creative and artistic and my photography journey began when my loving husband gifted me my Canon Rebel T7. I have been learning more and more each day. My hobbies are watercolour and gouache painting, and more recently, embroidery!
To me, photographs are tangible memories, a way to freeze time, capture emotions and relive them all over again. I want the photos I take to breathe life. Candid, messy, imperfect and wonderful. Not every photo shoot will go to plan, but that is okay because there is so much beauty in the unexpected.
